Be CARE Full Of What You Wish For.

That term be careful of what you wish for because you just might get it, is an old idiom phrased used in such a way to scare us out of our desire.

But if you just look at the word for a second it will take on new meaning. Be is a state of existence. Full is an obvious image in your eye. But that care word. It’s etymology means anxiety, sorrow and grief. Which is why we get the sensation of dread come over us when someone says that phrase to us.

But today, we don’t use the word care as being in a state of sorrow or dread. We use it much more softer. Most people even translate the Hebrew word chesed, Mercy, as tender loving care. But it’s not care that its more on lines with kindness. And that’s precisely how we interchange our words care and kindness.

The root of kindness is kin and the etymology of kin means ‘the natural order’.

Say the word care and most conjure up a feeling of being provided for along with kindness. It’s a good feeling word. But that phrase isn’t. It convolutes and inserts doubt, the thief.

Try playing around with the words and phrases and feel how they feel inside of you.

Be Care ( Anxiety) Full, because you just might get it.

Be Care ( Sorrow) Full, because you just might get it.

Or

Be Kind Full because you just might get it.

Be Kind (the natural order) because you just might get it.

I don’t know about you but the second feels way better and is a good reminder of how fragile our humanity really is.

As always, God Bless
